Yesterday night we have been at the first Northeastern Ruby Social Club Meetup, held in beautiful Padova. We had a great time with the ruby-it guys and dugg a handful of topics swimming from startups to rails and its (maybe too early?) adoption in enterprise enviroments.
The dinner was great and informal. It’s always nice to meet with smart people, and the great thing is that ruby seems to attract constantly more and more of them.
It’s not unknown our commitment to help building strong communities such as JUG Padova.
Hope this repeats soon!

Hey guys, Paolo and Jacopo held a speech at the last JUG Padova meeting. I can proudly say it has been a big big success!

We actually love to digg things in public and really seems attendants appreciated our effort. It’s not the first time we’re going public but this event has been somehow special. It gathered more people, more interest, more ideas.
I want to personally thank ChiaroScuro who had enough patience to not kill me during our crazy and tiring weekend.
Well, I guess we’ll repeat this meeting somewere else someday… so stay tuned!

This quick post just to let you know Jacopo and Paolo will hold a speech at the next JUG Padova meeting. The meeting will be focused on web development technologies, Ruby and Ruby On Rails.
Jacopo will present “Java and Ruby from the project manager perspective” and Paolo will present “ActiveRecord explained”.
The meeting will be hosted by the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova.
